Cute Little Creature
There is a hole in my sidewalk that used to be very small, but has grown much larger. I put water in it , because the birds and squirrels like to drink from it. Well, today I happened to look out the front door, and there was a little chipmunk trying to drink water. His little head was way inside the hole, so I went out and added more water.
In front of the porch ~
Up on the porch ~
Eating something ~ probably the maple seeds ~
Sunning for awhile ~
I thought he was so cute.

This little guy is so cute! I live in southern Oregon and we don't have any chipmunks in my vicinity. Thanks for sharing. I have been reading your blog for about a month, now. I don't even remember how I found it but glad I did.
Thank you so much for commenting, Molly, and I'm glad you enjoy my blog. I was just fascinated with that little chipmunk, standing there at the door taking many pictures. :o)
So cute! Many years ago we used to camp in the Smokey Mts.,and there were more chipmunks than squirrels in our campground. They really are cute little things.
Oohhh what a precious wee thing. His/her fur looks so soft, I wanted to reach through the screen and pet it. :o)
We have a squirrel that's taken up residence on our property. I've gone out back a few times where it's been very close to our kitty and they're chatting back and forth. They're probably threatening one another but so cute anyway. hehe.
Aren't they so adorable?? We have a few that scoot around our yard too, but so far I haven't caught any pictures of them.
Patricia, I have seen a few scooting around.
Jane and Nancy, it must be a baby coming up on the porch like that with me near the door. We have so many squirrels around here, little ones.I am enjoying watching them hiding from me in my big dogwood tree. That is funny about the cat and squirrel.
Very cute! You are getting quite good with that camera, Cathy!
Thanks Deb, I'm glad I could take good pictures from the front screen, but not screen, front door. :o) He was pretty close.
They are cute! And this reminds me I need to get some pool paint to paint my wee birdbath so it will "hold" the water...LOL!☺
ya~ya, The dirty looking sidewalk in the picture and porch would remind anyone of paint! lol It is old, but does not look that dirty to me. But I am good at overlooking it! I do hose it off all the time in warm weather. A deep clean would be good ~
Oh I just love this Cathy!
What a cutie! I just love chipmunks!

Thanks, Kelli, for your visit.
Did I just comment on this post? If I did, it was in Neesie's account. If I didn't, I want to say how cute this little guy is. I love these little critters.
You know, Cathy, I need to go to bed. I just made comments on several blogs in Neesie's account by mistake. ugh!
That's okay, Maxine, I did think it was Neese. It is a wonder I am coherent in the wee hours of the night that I comment and work on the blog. :o)
Thank you, Karen, for visiting and for the links. :o)
Oh how ADORABLE!! I love chipmunks - I wish we had them in our area. We have squirrels - cute, but not so cute as chipmunks.
Thank you, Bev, I RARELY get to see them up close like this. They are usually racing from one place to the other.
Oh Cathy, he is so darling! And you were able to get such good, close-up pictures!
We don't see too many chipmunks around our house-- just once in a while. However, we have a multitude of pesky squirrels that like to feast from the bird feeders!
Thanks, Beka, I have many squirrels around too. I like to watch the baby ones eating the maple tree seeds in my yard.
What a brave little fella! He looks like he enjoyed posing for his portrait! ;o)
lol, Jodi, that is cute. You know, I think he did! Sort of like the little stray scared kitty cat I have been feeding ~ It likes to pose for pictures I believe.
You got some amazing pictures of the cute little guy! They are very quick!
