Word Filled Wednesday

Ps 121:1,2 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Here is a little better picture of the hill from my backyard. I really took the first picture to show the beauty of the new green leaves on the trees.

I love this scripture. When I was a child we lived near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. We could see them out our dining room windows. I remember one morning, sitting around the breakfast table and listening to my father read this verse. At that time I was so young that I didn't understand the verse but as I looked at the hills as he read, I wondered how our help could come from the hills.. . . was God on the other side of the hill?

To this very day, I still remember that moment. Maybe that was a "God awakening" in me.

so often I find my gaze falling to the ground... now I shall be reminded to look to the trees, and up to Him.

Blessings Cathy...Let's look to the hills from where our true Help comes!!! I loved the photo of the new growth on the trees but I figured they must be on a hill but I did not see the hill until you added the second one. That helped!

Beautiful photos & verses of our EVERLASTING Help! Thank you for sharing. Hope your Weds. was filled with His Word & you enjoy a wonderful week!!!

Even though i have read it many times, reading it again is truly moving. God did make heaven and earth, though so many would deny that truth.

This is the verse from Neesie's psalm, her life verses. Looking up, where else does our help come from?
