Word Filled Wednesday

2Ch 20:17 -
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you."

I've spent more time in prayer recently over our country and it's leaders. That is where the real power of change comes from. God will fight our battle! Thank you for reminding us.

How could we live if we were not on the Lord's side?

Ohh Cathy...what a beautiful choice of scripture with this glorious banner of our freedom. I caught in the tiny print that in the original text it had "Kennedy". What a beautiful tribute on this day to remember the Kennedy family as Ted looses the battle with aggressive brain cancer!!!

May those of us, still in this battle, fight the good fight & stand our position for this nation in Godly principles and Freedom for all! May the Lord be with you & each of us this WFW! God bless America & God bless you, my sweet Cathy...thank you for your visit and this beautiful flag of freedom & WORD filled verse for Weds.

I don't know why it is but when I read that particular text,
"You will not need to fight in this battle", just by the way it is stated, it seems like there may be battles that they did have to fight, but not this one. Do you have any thoughts on this?

Amen, Cathy. Unless we have the Lord on our side, we will surely fail.

Great picture and verse. It is interesting that we are called to put on the whole armor of God in Eph. 6. But we are not called to fight in our own strength. At times God asks us to "wield the sword" and at time He commands us to "stand and see the salvation of the Lord." Too often we are not armed properly, we have lost our armor, we fight the wrong battles, we fight people instead of the demonic spirit behind the fight, or we just plain don't show up. What a great reminder. The battle is the Lord's. It is between Him and the forces of Satan who attempt to discourage His people or discredit His name.

Stop by Friday and play 5 Favorite Desserts if you have time this week.

Blessings.
