Christian Hymns: "This is my Father's world"
This is such a beautiful old hymn. I find it hard to believe that some people have never heard it before. The lyrics are great for today.

Beautiful! Sometimes I forget to even think about the older stuff!
It's sad to think that there's a whole generation of people who know very few hymns. Many churches no longer sing them. When I suggested one of my dad's favorites for his funeral,most of my church going siblings didn't know it, so it wasn't used. It was 'Farther Along.'
This is one of my all-time favorite hymns. Thanks for posting.

That hymn took me for a walk down memory lane. I sang it in church as a child. The words to the old hymns are so rich with truth and wisdom. I think we need to bring them back for the younger generations even if its put to contemporary music. It's the words that have the message. God bless, Dr. Bobbi

Those beautiful hymns are never old...they are timeless. This is our Father's world...it belongs to Him. How foolish we are to think we have any control. I remember even as a young married woman realizing the truth of the message.
