Then Sings My Soul Saturday - The Righteous

I have been wanting to share this little song with you, and finally have it ready. I wrote the music to a few scripture verses. A music minister once told me he thought it would be beautiful in three parts.

Check this out on Chirbit

The Righteous

Psalm 1:3, Psalm 92:12, Psalm 61:3

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree.
He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water
and He shall bring forth his fruit in due season.
His leaf also shall not wither
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper
That they might be called trees of righteousness
the planting of the Lord
that He might be glorified.

I can't believe I sang this one, as I certainly am not a soprano.

Cathy, This is wonderful! Absolutely wonderful. And yes, I agree.. it would be beautiful sung in three parts. For not being a soprano, you hit the high notes pretty darn good! :) Happy Spiritual Sunday.

Good morning, I am trying to get back to blogging and I am going to TRY to talk to everyone today.. Very nice song... We should all find what God has given us and use it... HE did not give me a voice to sing! BUT I teach and preach! Many gift and talents , one God to praise...

What a rich and beautiful blessing Cathy!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful song of "The Righteous" and your sweet voice. I would not have put that voice to you. It was such a delight to hear you sing & even soprano...wow! Indeed gifted & using God's Word for His glory! I love the composition of the 3 psalms...and the melody was precious. I do think that 3 parts would be lovely! But what do I know.

Now maybe guitar, huh? I get chords...it's the strumming and doing it together(lol). Don't you do chords with your left hand on the piano? Anyways, that will be fun for you (and me too if I pursue that...childhood dream). Someone stole my guitar back in '98 down her with my case and music. (Even some I had composed, on keyboards, not guitar...but I miss my "Joy is Like the Rain" songbook with the Medical Mission Sisters (irreplaceable to me) almost more than my own.

I am so blessed that you shared you another beautiful contribution to music and God's glory! Beautiful, friend! May you enJoy a wonderful weekend with many blessings,
Peggy

Oh, Cathy, this is so very sweet. The music is so right for those words. This passage of Scripture has been a favorite of mine since I've gotten older. And how sweet you sound; it's nice to hear your voice!
