Cathy:

Your prayers are much appreciated. The July heat has increased in intensity - yesterday our high was 107, 109 is forecast for today.

We were hopeful to get some rain from the tropical depression last week, but nothing happened. However, we trust God will send rain and cooler temperatures to our parched land.

Blessings,
Joan

I must be living under a rock! I only heard of this today! Can you imagine? Life here has been a little hectic with traveling, trying to recover from surgery, and getting the house ready to sell. No rain in the midwest will affect all of us eventually.

I'm not from Texas, Debra, but from NC. I have just seen pictures of Texas on the news, and I have blog and Twitter friends from Texas.
