"O God, Our Help in Ages Past"

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Ps.90:1

I am the Light by Danny Hahlbohm
I am the Light

O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast, And our eternal home!

Under the shadow of Thy throne Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone, And our defense is sure.

Valley - Israel, Hills of Galilee, Sea of Galilee
Valley - Israel, Hills of Galilee, Sea of Galilee

Before the hills in order stood, Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God, To endless years the same.

A thousand ages in Thy sight Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night Before the rising sun.

Home at Last by Danny Hahlbohm
Home at Last

Time, like an ever rolling stream, Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten, as a dream Dies at the op'ning day.

O God, our help in ages past, Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while life shall last, And our eternal home.

Text: Issac Watts; based on Psalm 90
Music: William Croft

This is a great and wonderful hymn Cathy, and you selected perfect pictures to enhance the words.

Thank you, Mimi. I found a book I have about Amazing hymn stories, and they thought it would be good for a new year. Also Watts wrote hymns about some psalms.
