God's Word

I have been looking through scripture verses, received by email, that I have saved on my computer. I thought I would share some of them with you.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:1-2, King James Version

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2 Corinthians 5:21, King James Version

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my
ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts
than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9, King James Version

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, is as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
1 Peter 5:8, King James Version

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man
shall see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14, King James Version

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him
not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of
glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your
souls.
1 Peter 1:8-9

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will
pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams:
Acts 2:17

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,
but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may
minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 4:29

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2

Thank you, Mimi. I would welcome your prayers. I spent half the night in the emergency room with an irregular, fast heartbeat -- (A fib).
Love,
Cathy

Thank you for sharing these passages...worth pondering over and again...drawing closer to Christ all the while.

Oh dear, sweet Cathy...I'm be praying for your health, how unsettling this must have been for you. Are you doing a little better today? I'm sending a sweet tender embrace (albeit virtual) and wish I could be there to help in some way.

Thank you, dear Sherry, for the sweet comments. Yes, it was very unsettling in the ER. I thanked Jesus when the doctor told me it was back in normal rhythm, and I could go home. I've had this before, and my doctor said it is common. I had to take a blood thinner for 5 months before it went back into rhythm. So I take medicine to keep my heart rate down. I could not get on my computer earlier today. I just feel real tired, but think all is well. Hugs back to you ~
Cathy
And thank you so much for the prayers.

Cathy,
Thank you...glad that you are doing better....on the 19th I have a echo....two weeks ago I had the stress test,,,and one that they put this radioactive stuff in with the heart stressed and then the next time at rest and you laid and they took pictures..about 1/2 hour.
IT was abnormal but not in major arteries but sure a wake up call...I am having a sinus CT coming up and a skin thing biopsied...I told my husband I am not blogging about it all right now as I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac....AAARGH...who would want this?
Praying all stay normal for you.

Thank you, Deby. I am trying not to let this computer stress me out too much. I am having to type this answer to you over! I've been attempting to reply all day and night. You know, when I retired, I said I knew the house was falling apart, but not that I would. I'm sorry you are going through so much. I can't take that stress test, because of asthma. We just have to keep trusting the Lord to heal us. We know He cares for us. Praying for you ~
