Hiding Creatures

I love trying to take pictures of birds, squirrels, and a little stray cat. Here are a few taken around my yard.

These are so cute! I've tried to take pictures of birds to add to my garden blog, but they don't like to stay still for me!

Thanks, Deb, you are right about the birds. I am always trying to sneak up on them. :)

I see you have cow birds, robins and squirrels. I wish the hummingbirds would come back in droves like they did last year here. I've only seem 2 this year, but I'm sure there have been more. But last year, they fought over the food!

Barb, I never heard of cow birds, and I don't remember seeing them. I saw a pretty brown bird yesterday and some gray and white birds, I can't get quickly enough.

Betty, I enjoyed the visit, and I think so too. :)

Nice photos! I hope you'll also share your reunion pictures next month. I wore a lot of black and white to the four reunion activities! Love to wear it!

Thank you, Katherine. I had not even thought of taking my little camera to our 50th high school reunion. I might show a picture of me, if there is a decent one, that is. Hopefully my new black outfits will be slenderizing.

Deby, :) ~ I took some of the little squirrel eating those maple seeds in my yard, but they were too dark!

I bet that sweet neighbor kitty is a good mouser - and birder. ;o)

Jane, yuk, I know it probably has been getting the birds. I have always had dogs, and my next door neighbor, in her 80's just lost her cat. But I feel sorry for the little kitty, and we have been feeding it. I would not know what to do with a cat. Been thinking I might have to ask you about it ~
And I sure hope it is not as wild as yours! :)

I love your pictures! You're making good use of your camera! I might get one for my birthday--not sure yet.
Aren't they all wonderful creatures. Enjoy. Yes,those birds are cowbirds. They came to my feeder earlier this spring but haven't been for a while. I hear they lay their eggs in other birds nests and let them take care of them. Isn't that funny?
I love the squirrel pictures.
Hey where are all your flowers on the sidebar?!

Cathy said...

Thank you, Maxine. Yes they are God's wonderful creatures. That is funny about the cowbirds.
You know I tried to save the Flowers a Day for the Month of May with something to click on, but it was so much trouble at the end. I did make a beautiful slideshow. Did you see it? I may put some more flowers on the sidebar. But I read something about too many pictures causing your blog to load slowly.

Cathy ~ To capture birds is really something! You must have a lot of patience. I loved these shots. :o)

Thank you, Jodi, you know God gave us a lot of patience. :o) And it is very quiet around here. I also have lots of time. I try hard to sneak up on them.
