I wanted to decorate my little new tree with lights. I found it on sale at a fine garden shop.
A most favorite decoration by Karla Dornacher ~ wish I could find more!
Another favorite decoration by Karla Dornacher ~
Found this in a catalog ~
A cherished decoration from my mother ~
A pretty cross I bought on sale at Belks ~
A pretty cross I bought on sale at Old Salem. Actually I bought 3, one for a friend.
This is a pretty frog I bought some years ago.
These little lambs were gifts from my family.
I realized I had enough angels to have an angel tree. I used an old little tree I had.
This little old cat, "Jewels", has taken up with me. She acted like she was starving. Now she thinks she is supposed to be on my lap all the time. I have heard that the owners said their older children really don't care for their cats anymore.
This is "Honey", a stray cat that I have befriended. I made him a couple of places on the side porch to sleep in. He doesn't want to stay inside for long. The other day, little Jewels clawed him in the face!
Thanks for looking at all my pictures.

Love all the Christmas decorations! Others are helping me get into the spirit, slowly but surely. Thanks!
Aww, you are just like me--with your heart for animals. So glad you can give a helping hand to these two kittens.
I loved looking at all your ornaments. I think my favorite were the lambs. I had lambs when I was young and fed them from a pepsi bottle which had a nipple on it.
The kitties are cute too! It is always good to be kind to kitties. I know a few people who wouldn't be.
Such lovely decorations and ornaments! And the song in your sidebar is beautiful too.
Sending lots of love your way!
You have some treasures for ornaments, and what a good idea to make an angel tree. Your cats seem to be content--at least when separated. lol
Thanks, Maxine. I have always had dogs, but cannot afford them anymore. And it is so sad when something happens to them.
Thanks, Cherdecor, sorry your name has slipped my mind! I love lambs too. My stray cat is scared and wild, will bite me if I am not careful.
Thank you, Beka, my little song is missing the first three notes! But I do love to play it. Much love back to you.
Thanks Sally, I know you don't like replies on posts, but here goes. The little gray cat will attack and fight the wild cat. She scares him to death with her snarl, even eats his food. Honey could probably kill her with his sharp claws and teeth, but I think he knows she is little and old.
Thanks for sharing these photos of decorations that are dear to your heart.
Thanks also for leaving me Happy Blogiversary wishes :o)
You're welcome, Dallas, I like the way you phrased that. ;o)
Cathy,
Your decorations are so adorable! I love your angel tree. :)
Thank you, Sharon. I have been having these little trees for quite awhile now. Big, pretty ones like yours, are just too hard for me to handle.
Very pretty!
We have so many stray cats coming from across the road they are making me crazy! It's so cold and some of them are little kittens...we even put straw in and old dog house so they would have a warm place to sleep!
Thank you, Deb. Honey was sleeping in a chair on my side porch, so I tried to cover it up and put things around it. Now he sleeps under it in a little cat bed my neighbor gave me with an old wool sweater jacket of mine. I put a throw down there too, but don't think he likes that. I worry about him, but he won't stay inside. And if he did, he would probably climb all over everything.
I loved looking at your beautiful decorations! And the kitties are so darling. I'm so glad you helped them!!
Thank you, Beverly, and thanks for coming by. I am trying to take good care of the little kitties.
I really like your little angel tree, Cathy. How long have you collected angels? Do you have a favorite?
Poor Honey!!! Jewels is being snarky - you tell her to be nice to Honey or I'm coming to take Honey away! Poor Honey. My heart's aching here....
I don't know, Jane, I just love the angel ornaments. The one on the star near the top, to the right, I've had for a long time, and my sister-in-law made the little painted one to the left of it.
I know, poor Honey, my neighbor, an older lady whose cat died, is upset over Honey too. But he is wild and has bit me. My family got upset they way my hand looked, and said I might get rabies. It did look bad. Now I pet him with my foot or gloves on. Poor baby. I may have to go buy him a bigger bed to see if he will use it in the house.
He would not let you take him away. I am the only one who can get near him. And I would not dare pick him up!
