Monday afternoon, after taking my little old cat to the vet, I was outside watching her to make sure she did not get sick from her shots. She went over to my next door neighbor's yard and found a sunny spot. She is really a pretty little gray cat with green eyes.
I looked around and found some signs of spring.
Tulips
Candytuff, I believe
Some pretty pink flowers that grow so big in her yard.
Jonquils or Daffodils blooming!
Tuliip and Crocus
Big Black Bird, really loud
One late afternoon, the sky looked so pretty outside my kitchen window. I am surprised the pictures took well through my old screen.
A few minutes later I looked out and the pretty red had turned to blue. The picture did not turn out very well, but the sky was beautiful. I love God's masterpieces!
And this is my wild stray cat at home after he was fixed. He is getting more tame.
Thanks for looking at my pictures.
PS - Oh no, I think I just heard about some snow for Sunday.

This young girl has quite an imagination. I found this in Kim Komando's newsletter, Video of the Day.. She said "Try not to giggle."
Warning, you might need to cut the volume down, she does have some high pitched screams.

2 Peter 3:18
To Him be glory both now and forever.
Heaven will be full of the ceaseless praises of Jesus. Eternity! thine unnumbered years shall speed their everlasting course, but forever and for ever, "to Him be glory." Is He not a "Priest I for ever after the order of Melchisedek"? "To Him be glory." Is He not king for ever?-King of kings and Lord of lords, the everlasting Father? "To Him be glory for ever." Never shall His praises cease. That which was bought with blood deserves to last while immortality endures. The glory of the cross must never be eclipsed; the lustre of the grave and of the resurrection must never be dimmed. O Jesus! thou shalt be praised for ever. Long as immortal spirits live-long as the Father's throne endures-for ever, for ever, unto Thee shall be glory. Believer, you are anticipating the time when you shall join the saints above in ascribing all glory to Jesus; but are you glorifying Him now? The apostle's words are, "To Him be glory both now and for ever." Will you not this day make it your prayer? "Lord, help me to glorify Thee; I am poor, help me to glorify Thee by contentment; I am sick, help me to give Thee honour by patience; I have talents, help me to extol Thee by spending them for Thee; I have time, Lord, help me to redeem it, that I may serve thee; I have a heart to feel, Lord, let that heart feel no love but Thine, and glow with no flame but affection for Thee; I have a head to think, Lord, help me to think of Thee and for Thee; Thou hast put me in this world for something, Lord, show me what that is, and help me to work out my life-purpose: I cannot do much, but as the widow put in her two mites, which were all her living, so, Lord, I cast my time and eternity too into Thy treasury; I am all Thine; take me, and enable me to glorify Thee now, in all that I say, in all that I do, and with all that I have."

A couple (at least, if not more) of my friends seem to be concerned about my trees that were cut back. They were giant maple trees in my front yard, with long limbs that could fall on my roof and damage the house. The tree company worked for at least two hours on the two front trees, and they were working very hard. I thought I would try to show you some better pictures and some in my neighborhood. They assured me that the trees will grow back. Many of my neighbors also wanted them to do work for them.
Hopefully, these pictures look a little better than the other ones I posted. It is nice not to have limbs falling all over my yard. I know I should have trimmed them all along, but I really could not afford to.
These are my next door neighbor's smaller trees than mine. She is a perfectionist when it comes to her yard, and it usually looks beautiful.
This is one of her crepe myrtle bushes. Each year I think it is terrible that she has cut them down like this, but believe me, they do grow back to be pretty bushes.
This is my neighbor's tree that was cut awhile back. It doesn't look so great now, but you can see how the limbs have grown back.
I thought I would close with some things of beauty. It was not that dark outside, but the moon was so lovely, I had to take pictures of it.
Thanks for looking at my pictures.

Matthew 1:21
Thou shalt call his name Jesus.
When a person is dear, everything connected with him becomes dear for his sake. Thus, so precious is the person of the Lord Jesus in the estimation of all true believers, that everything about Him they consider to be inestimable beyond all price. "All Thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia," said David, as if the very vestments of the Saviour were so sweetened by His person that he could not but love them. Certain it is, that there is not a spot where that hallowed foot hath trodden-there is not a word which those blessed lips have uttered-nor a thought which His loving Word has revealed-which is not to us precious beyond all price. And this is true of the names of Christ-they are all sweet in the believer's ear. Whether He be called the Husband of the Church, her Bridegroom, her Friend; whether He be styled the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world-the King, the Prophet, or the Priest-every title of our Master-Shiloh, Emmanuel, Wonderful, the Mighty Counsellor-every name is like the honeycomb dropping with honey, and luscious are the drops that distil from it. But if there be one name sweeter than another in the believer's ear, it is the name of Jesus. Jesus! it is the name which moves the harps of heaven to melody. Jesus! the life of all our joys. If there be one name more charming, more precious than another, it is this name. It is woven into the very warp and woof of our psalmody. Many of our hymns begin with it, and scarcely any, that are good for anything, end without it. It is the sum total of all delights. It is the music with which the bells of heaven ring; a song in a word; an ocean for comprehension, although a drop for brevity; a matchless oratorio in two syllables; a gathering up of the hallelujahs of eternity in five letters.
"Jesus, I love Thy charming name,
'Tis music to mine ear."

All during the month of January, I thought my camera was broken. I did take it outside during Christmas one night when it was drizzling a little. Well, I took it to Wal-Mart, and the batteries were in backwards! I cannot believe that, and I used to work there in electronics. Guess my eyes are not what they used to be. Anyway, I am glad it is fixed.
Just recently, I had my giant maple trees cut back. I did not want limbs falling on my house. And the mess from the summer storm was still not cleaned up. Here are some pictures of the trees now. They look much bigger in my front yard than in the pictures.
This picture really reminded me of a recent post by my friend Maxine, Lifting Arms to God.
Late Tuesday afternoon, I called my grandson to tell him the sky looked like snow. It was already snowing at his house. A little later, I took these pictures from my front porch door. Big snowflakes were coming down.
Yesterday morning, when I looked outside, I knew it was really cold with all those icicles hanging from the bare limbs!
The trimmed tree in the backyard looks prettier than the front trees. The old screen on the window over my kitchen sink is not so pretty.
Finally, I thought I would show the cats I am trying to help. They keep me busy trying to keep them in from the cold and letting them out.
This is the little stray cat, Honey, I have befriended.
Taking over and spoiled ~
This little old boney kitty has taken up with me. She lived down the street as an outdoor cat. My neighbor told me her owner said his daughter did not really care for her much anymore. She likes my warm house and lap, thinks I'm her mother I believe. She is really gray, and has pretty green eyes.
Thanks for looking at my pictures. I surely will be glad when Spring is here.
