Michael Combs - I'm an American Christian
I thought I would tell you about a Gospel Music Evangelist, Michael Combs, you probably do not know. He is from the South and lives in the mountains I believe. When I worked at Wal-Mart, people would come in very often asking for his music. I think he only sold it in a few Christian bookstores and online. I also read where the Lord gave him the talent to paint, and that he is an artist. This song seemed very appropriate for these times.

Great song! We have a great country, but we must pray and be a light to keep it that way. God bless the U.S.A.! Let Freedom Ring!

Hi Cathy, Alan and I like his singing. He kinda growls when he sings. Ha! Ha! We have a CD around here somewhere of his. We had almost forgotten about him. They used to play his music on the Christian Radio but I haven't heard him for a long time. Thanks for bringing him up again.
Hugs,
Cheryl

I hadn't heard this song before. Beautiful. Worshipful. Love it.
I was just looking through accompaniment tapes and came upon "american christian" I listened to the short demo and was hooked so without even knowing the lyrics or anything. I ordered. I have now looked up michael singing on you tube and am sitting i love with this song. I can't wait to get my copy and start working hope i can do it justice. I have been a southern gospel singer for almost 30 years and nothing has grabed me like this song. THANKS Wendy Houston, texas
