There is a Balm in Gilead

I found this on You-Tube and thought it was so pretty. I know many people are hurting. This is an African-American spiritual, and you can find the Words and Music here. The scenery is gorgeous and the singer's voice, lovely.

Be sure to visit Amy here for more music.

Hi Cathy -
Thank you for sharing this song today. It is a favorite of mine. My dear mother and father sang it for many years together. It was one of their 'trademark' songs when they were in ministry. They had lovely soprano and tenor voices. When I became old enough I joined them with my alto voice. We did a lot of trios. I love the words of this song - they have meant much to me since I was a child. And they are SO true.

Smilingsal, Thanks for visiting. On You-Tube, it says that another artist is singing it, not Amy Grant.

You're welcome, Laurie and thank you.
Yes, some of the music I have written is on my other blog. And I have some of my songs on this blog too. I also have many videos and hymns here.
