How to pet a Kitty

This is my rescued wildcat, Honey. I have to be careful with him. He does love my lap now though. And I have even been able to pick him up from the back. He does not like to be approached from the front, though I can rub his head. He is a good cat and knows what I mean when I say "No." He also does not come in my room at night, but comes running in when I get up to cut off the radio.

I saw this on Twitter and thought it was cute.

Dancing Dog and the Moon

Well, the video has been disabled, and I can't post it on here. I will just give you the link to You-Tube. Kim Komando had a tweet about how she loved this dog. I really liked him too.

Britain's Got Talent - Gina and Chandi

I went to the drugstore last night, and when I came out, I saw this huge bright light. I thought, is that the moon or just a big light? When I saw that it was the moon, I knew I had to go home and get my camera. I live down a hill and could not see it from my house. So I became a moon chaser.

You can't really see the shining light around it very well. The white light is one in the shopping area.

I just love taking pictures of the moon and have many photos under the Label Moon.

A Funny Update

Recently I posted about my little old lady gray cat and how She Rules, sleeping in various places. I decided to try to cover my stove, so she would not scratch it up. I was really amazed when I saw this.

I can yell, say no, etc., but it does not phase her. Well, she will jump down sometimes now when I loudly tell her no. She seems to love to go there when I am in this room on the computer, and all is quiet. I have always had dogs, and cats are a mess!

She Rules

I don't know what I'm going to do with this little old lady outdoor cat, Jewels, that I have taken in. She wants to go from one place to another.

So I bought her a bed that she liked for awhile.

Then I saw someone examining it and sure enough, Honey, my wildcat took over.

The other day I could not find Jewels, and since a lower door was open a little, she was in a kitchen cabinet. Then I found her here on top of the hutch.

Lately she has been on a bookcase in the hall, but she really seems to enjoy this cozy place.

She is a very disobedient child. Since I don't want her scratching up what I call my new stove, I guess I'll have to close her in the living room and hall. These two are really a mess and are too expensive; but they do keep me company.

Cat Takes a Bath

I think this is the funniest thing. I believe the cat is just drinking water. And he keeps looking behind him, probably thinking, I wonder if I am doing something I'm not supposed to be doing.

Mayo Clinic atrium piano, charming older couple

I loved this email that I received:

In the Mayo Buildings there is a piano that sometimes people stop to play. This is a cute video of two older folks playing the piano in the Gonda Building , and is worth watching.

Fran and Marlo Cowan (married 62 years) playing impromptu recital together in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic. He was 90 in February.

Cute Video of the Day

I found this cute video in Kim Komando's newsletter. She describes it here:

"This YouTube video is just too cute. Two things are sure to put a smile on your face – babies and dogs. But what happens when you put the two together?

In this video you’ll see a pug pushing a baby stroller. That’s it. And really, what more do you need? It’s two and half minutes of pure cute. This is sure to brighten anyone’s day.

The pug’s name is Jenny. And she lives in Portland, OR. She’ll take you on a tour of Portland’s hotspots. You’ll see Waterfront Park, Union Station, The Grotto and more. That’s neat."

Doris Day - Que Sera Sera

A friend of mine on Facebook posted a different version of this on her page. She said her mother used to sing it to her. This really brings back memories, because Doris Day was my favorite actress when growing up. I know I'm showing my age, but I thought I would post this just for fun.

Birthday Fun

I went over to my daughter's tonight for some delicious spaghetti. I enjoyed playing with my Grandson.

Here are some pictures from their kitchen window. I took lots of pictures, but they did not turn out too well. It could have been because it was getting dark.

There were so many deer outside eating apples and seeds.

The neighbor's peacocks all came to eat too.

Now this picture of me, let me tell you, I have really let my hair grow too long, desperately need a haircut. And my Grandson said I blinked. They gave me the sweetest little birthday Easter basket. The little blue chicken is so cute and the lamb. There were also two pretty birds, an Easter chocolate cross, a pretty little blue butterfly and a little chocolate candy. And I also had a pretty cake. Oh, and the beautiful card with all the flowers is from my sweet Grandson.

My son-in-law picked this cute, expensive card out for me. It is very large. When I opened it, it played "Who let the dogs out" pretty loud. They have lots of dogs.

This only shows part of the cute card, because of the signatures.

So I had a very Happy Birthday. And thanks for all the wishes from my friends.

kittens inspired by kittens

This young girl has quite an imagination. I found this in Kim Komando's newsletter, Video of the Day.. She said "Try not to giggle."
Warning, you might need to cut the volume down, she does have some high pitched screams.
