A Tag From Sally

My friend, Sally at Smiling Sally has tagged me for a book meme. Sally loves books and is a book reviewer. Her blog is very cute with cartoons, a "Blue Monday" that she started, a "Pink Saturday," and other neat posts. The rules for the meme are:

1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2. Share seven random and/or weird book facts about yourself.

3. Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.

4. Let each person know that they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

My Seven Random Facts are:

1. I will always remember my mother taking me downtown, when I was very young, to a little old library. I believe it used to be a church.

2. I am good at starting books and not finishing them.

3. But when I am reading a very interesting book, I cannot put it down and have to finish it.

4. I have the Scribner Radio Music Library, volumes of music, and I enjoy playing many of the songs.

5. When my grandson was young, I loved to read to him and buy books for him. Now he loves to read and is very smart.

6. In High School I remember pushing a bookmobile around to patients in the hospital, so they could check out books. I believe this was a part of the Red Cross.

7. One year while working at my church, I read the Bible through and received a certificate from the Pastor.

I am tagging:

Barbara at Tidbits and Treasures

Mimi at Listen to Grammie

Deborah at Songs From My Journey

Patricia at Pollywog Creek

Kelli at There is no place like home

Saija at Thro' A Glass Darkly

Maxine at Nanna's Reflections

Sally also offered the awards below to her friends. I would love for my friends to also have them, so please do take them to share. Thank you, Sally.

Another Meme

Deborah, at her lovely new blog, Songs From My Journey, has tagged me for a six word memoir.

The rules are:

1.Write your own six word memoir.
2.Post it on your blog, and include a visual illustration if you like.
3.Link to the person who tagged you in their post.
4.Tag five more blogs with links.
5.Remember to leave a comment on the tagged blogs inviting them to play.

I thought Deborah's memoir was excellent, and I enjoyed the pictures she posted. Some of the ladies are using words to describe themselves. However, I really liked my friend Adrienne's memoir here.

So my memoir is:

Saved by God's Gift of Jesus

It's Great to Be Me!

Mimi at Listen to Your Grammie tagged me with a meme.
You can read the explanation for the beginning of the meme originated by Jan at Bold and Free. Jan says that everytime she says "It's great to be me", it reminds her to count her blessings. So she started the meme.

Here is my list of why It's great to be me.

1. It's great to be me because I am a child of God, saved through faith in Jesus, who gave me the gift of eternal life.

2. It's great to be me because I am blessed to have a lovely, sweet and thoughtful daughter.

3. It's great to be me because I have a talented, hard working son-in-law.

4. It's great to be me because I have a smart, sweet and precious grandson who is still "my sweet angel" at 11 yrs. old.

5. It's great to be me because I have a nice, comfortable and peaceful home.

6. It's great to be me because I live in our wonderful country of freedom.

7. It's great to be me because I have God's Word to read, and I can stand on His promises, pray, and He answers me.

8. It's great to be me because I can listen to beautiful music.

9. It's great to be me because I can enjoy and grow lovely flowers.

10. It's great to be me because I can watch the birds and listen to their sweet songs.

11.It's great to be me because I have beloved family members and friends, who are blessings and Jesus who said "I have called you friends."

12. It's great to be me because God has given me the talent to write pretty music for His glory.

13. It's great to be me because I am blessed with the fruit of the Spirit ~ love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith.

I am tagging my friend Barbara at Tidbits and Treasures, because she is a great writer and is so good at this. Also, I am tagging Maxine at Nanna's Reflections, who also loves to write, Beka at More Love To Thee, Deby at Apples of Gold, and Betty at Country Charm. All those mentioned are among my favorite blogs. Please feel free to join in if you would like to play along.

It really was a blessing to participate in this meme and to think of all these reasons why it is great to be me.

Psalm 139:14 -
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Jeremiah 29:11 -

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope

Name Meme

A few days ago, Candy tagged me for this name meme. She made me such a pretty "special name" that I put on my sidebar. Believe me, I am not creative on this computer at all, and I don't have a camera. Finally I did come up with an idea. I made some music names that I placed on my sidebar.

My blog friends are challenged to: Write 8 of your blog friends names in a unique way and post them. Then come back over and let me know. You must write the blogger's name that tagged you, then add seven others. Be creative and if possible use the natural wonders of the world! I enjoy all of your blogs so much. I have created names for Candy, Jodi, Mimi, Barbara, Kelli, Saija, Patricia, Sharon and Betty.

If you haven't been tagged yet, and would like to do this meme, feel free to join in.

Maybe you will be able to "save as" if you want to. If you do, let me know, so I can remove the name from my sidebar. Thanks.

I guess all may not understand that I created the notes, to sing or play on an instrument, for each name.

Well, I'm sorry, but I don't think my efforts worked out. It's the thought that counts. I don't think the names can be transferred from here, but I did try.

If you want to, you are welcome to just place the little notes on your sidebar. I just used Bold print and the different colors. That may work. One friend said she just highlighted, copied, and pasted it in her html file.
