We have a young man from our church serving in Aphganistan, as well as young men from other Canadian churches that we know. We pray that they can be a support to one another as well as a witness to the lost around them.
I'm in complete agreement, Cathy. It's not the once in a while we should remember them, it's the every day. If it weren't for the valor and sacrifice of our military we wouldn't enjoy the freedoms and wonderful lives we now lead.
Our school campus adopted a Marine and his unit while they're on deployment. What joy to hopefully bless and encourage these fine men (and 2 women) in this particular unit. The wife of our Marine is Ashleigh from Heart and Home. :o)

Thanks for posting this, Cathy. We hear so much complaining but very little thankfulness.
