Remembering Dr. Kennedy
Dr. D. James Kennedy, Senior Pastor and Founder of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church passed away today. You can read the news release and visit the memorial site here. There is a wonderful video about his life at the memorial site under Life and Legacy.
I first read about this news at Cindy's Notes in the Key of Life. I knew he had been very sick since his heart trouble last December, but it still came as a shock to me.
I believe that Dr. Kennedy was a great man of God, a scholar and a very brave minister, who was not afraid to stand up for the truth, regarding issues of today. Although, he will be missed, I feel sure his ministry will continue on as he founded it.

Cathy,
I heard at church tonight that Dr. Kennedy had died, but no on was sure if it was true...
thanks for the info, and you are right he was a great man of God.
He absolutely was, Mimi, and I loved him.
I received this news via email today (well, yesterday now). Our nation has suffered a great loss; he truly was a warrior for all that was Godly and stood firm against the sins of our country. Praying for his family and for his church as well. I know he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. He was a good and faithful servant.
He was a big force down here in South Florida. May he find his rest now with the God he loved so much...
Thank you, Jodi, for describing him so well. :o)
Regina Clare Jane, Yes, I'm sure he was, and I appreciate your comment. His quote on the memorial page was wonderful I thought.
Cathy -
Thank you for visiting my blog and for leaving your sweet comment. Congratulations on your retirement!
Yes, God certainly does remain faithful in the changes of life. I know the Kennedy family and all those who loved Dr. Kennedy and were touched by his ministry will sense the faithfulness of God during this time of loss. He was truly a man who had a heart for God and His Word.

Thank you, Adrienne, you are welcome. And I appreciate you sweet comment. :-)
What planet am I on? I hadn't heard of his passing on any news I listen to or read! Very nice tribute for him, Cathy. We have a few members of our church who were part of his church at one time.
Thank you, Lallee. I don't understand that either. I started to send it to the Fox News, but we don't want people attacking him like they did a certain other Christian who recently passed away!
Cathy,
Dr. Kennedy will certainly be missed. He was a man of principle and morals.
Thank you for the sweet comment on my wooden necklace and picture...Betty
Betty, You are welcome. :-) Yes, he was, and I hope his ministry will continue, as he led it.
