Word Filled Wednesday

Isaiah 26: 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

I set this scripture to music with a couple of other verses here on my music blog, if you would like to hear it. Click on the "here" at that website to listen to the music.

One of my favorite encouraging Bible verses! And the picture goes so well with what I've been talking about to my grandkids - that Jesus Christ spent time in prayer before He died, especially in Gethsemane. He knew what was coming, but because of His great love for us, He chose to say, "Not My will, but Thine be done," and go forward to the cross. But praise God, He also went forward to His resurrection!

When we keep our eyes fixed on Him and His love for us, He will, indeed, fill us with His wonderful peace and strength! That is something I cling to! Thank you for a delightful Word-Filled Wednesday! :)

I love this verse - it never gets old! Perfect peace - that's what I want. Your music is wonderful and such a reminder that we should sing Scripture to keep the truth in front of us all the time.

When I was a little girl my mother had a simply written copy of this verse on some funny, old fiber-type paper (pink). It was framed in an old frame and hung beside the bed in our guestroom. I often laid on that bed in the sunshine and read the verse and I memorized it. It has never left my heart since those days.

Oh how we need to keep our mind stayed on Him. Those are wonderful words to set to music. I haven't been to your music blog in quite a while. I will go soon to hear this, Cathy.

Sometimes I mistake peace for the feeling that everything is under control. But when things go all awry, that's the time I've known His real peace. Thanks for sharing.
