Happy Birds

Have you noticed how happy the little birds seem to be in this cooler weather? I hear them singing more, and I enjoy whistling back to them. The other day I saw the cutest little brown baby bird trying to hide behind my large azalea bush. It is times like those that I wish I knew how to use a camera and could share pictures with you.

Song of Solomon 2:12 -
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;

Ezekiel 17:23 -
In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

Psalm 124:7 -
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

Psalm 84:3 -
Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.

Isaiah 31:5 -
As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

Psalm 55:6 -
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

There is a lovely version of "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" at Wanda's Country Home.
Margi Harrell plays it beautifully.

Thanks for visiting, Bev. I had to look up juncos. I'm not an expert on different kinds of birds. I'm glad you enjoyed the verses. :o)

I loved the post on birds... we forget how sweet the sound of birds can be... until we go out on a nice cool day and hear them singing with their glorious little voices...
I also enjoyed all the verses about birds

I love to listen to the birds, too, however cooler weather is a bit slower in arriving to SW Florida than those of you who live further north. This afternoon we had winds out of the NE that brought less humid breezes and temperatures in the upper 80's instead of the 90's. It was a delightful and refreshing change as I wandered about our property on Pollywog Creek. A real fall, when we can turn off the A/C, is probably another month away yet. Thank you for being a blessing, Cathy.

Patricia, the weather was cooler here, but hot in the sun. Anyway, I cut off my air conditioner unit. I can stand it. I'm glad you got out and enjoyed the lovely day. We surely could use some rain here though. You are a blessing to me too. :o)
